Yes, We make Chimneys happen

Engineered – Documented – Simple – Reliable – Proven – Fast – Responsive – Economical

American Ventilation Services, Inc.,  specializes in the complete installation of a patented prefabricated stainless steel UL-listed chimney lining system, breechings, and chimney stacks up to 48-inches in diameter, all approved by the Construction Codes of the City of New York and surrounding area, for a much lower cost that welded stainless steel liner.

Single Wall Liners
Two single wall liner systems are available covering most chimney lining application. The first is a High Efficacity Pressure single-wall stainless steel chimney liner listed by underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) under file MH46608 and tested in accordance with UL 1777 standard for chimney liners and the Canadian standard ULC-S635, “Standard for Lining Systems for Existing Masonry or Factory Built Chimney and Vents”. This system is UL-listed for positive pressure applications up to 15” water column. The second is a venting system listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) under file MH10081 and tested in accordance with UL 1738 and ULC S-636 for Venting Categories II, III and IV appliances.

Double Wall Chimneys
Double wall chimneys are also available in two systems covering most venting applications. The first is an Industrial Positive Pressure double wall stainless steel chimney with 2” air space, mineral fiber or ceramic insulation, listed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) under file MH26661 and tested in accordance with UL 103 Standard for Factory-Built Chimneys and the Canadian Standard for 540°C (1000°F) and 760°C (1400°F) industrial Chimneys CAN/ULC-C959. This chimney is UL-listed for positive pressure applications up to 60” water column. The second system is listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) under file MH10081 and tested in accordance with UL 1738 and ULC S-636 for Venting Categories II, III and IV appliances. This system is available with 2” air space or mineral fiber or ceramic insulation, and is UL-listed for positive pressure applications up to 15” water column.

Our Chimney systems are available in 304 2B stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, and AL 29-4C superferritic stainless steel for extreme resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. These chimneys are fabricated using continuous laser welding, and come with a full range of accessories including elbows, fittings, guides and supports.

Our Know How

At American Ventilation Services, Inc., we combine the experience of professional engineers and the expertise of sheet metal fabricators, erectors and installers, backed by a close partnership with the chimneys’ manufacturer engineering and manufacturing teams, to provide a complete and competitive package of services.

The design of chimney Liners, particularly those intended for taller chimneys, is a delicate balance between the structural design of the liner and corresponding supports, the selection of material for structural purposes, and for combustion, thermal, chemical and corrosion conditions, as well as for draft considerations, all with the careful integration of economical attributes for fabrication and field installation.

We know and understand historic construction of existing chimneys in the NY metropolitan area, as well as the more modern design and construction methods and material. We are also well versed in historic  and new boiler technologies, as well as different fuel alternatives, and accompanying exhaust systems, material, techniques and methods. With this knowledge and the design and construction systems in place, we are confident that we are close to an optimal balance between design innovation and construction systematization of new chimney liners (and stacks), and we continually improve our know-how.

Knowledge, experience, expertise, honesty, integrity, innovation, dedication and responsiveness, all together forge the core of our values and lead to the value we offer. We provide an alternate choice to the building industry when it comes to chimneys, where speed, economy and quality come together at last.
